A Big Leap for India's Manufacturing Landscape
Let's talk about what's happening in this country.
India's manufacturing sector currently contributes 16–17% of GDP and employs over 27 million workers. The government's target — ambitious but credible — is to push manufacturing to 25% of GDP through the National Manufacturing Mission announced in Union Budget 2025-26. FDI in Indian manufacturing has reached US$ 165.1 billion, a 69% increase over the past decade. In October 2025, India's Manufacturing PMI climbed to 59.2 — one of the strongest readings in years, driven by surging demand and faster output growth.
